Norton Ridge Wine Company in Buelton, California, produced this modestly priced Pinot Noir with its warm summer berry and spice flavour notes. It’s dry, light bodied and has medium length of flavour. This is good quality and pleasant drinking – no mean feat for a Pinot Noir at this price. Bravo. – 3 Stars, Joelle Thomson, Wine Writer
Bright young Pinot. The team at Lockhart strive to make wines that are straight forward, affordable and more importantly great with food. This 2017 Pinot is a prime example. Grapes taken from around California and sent to Norton Ridge Wine Co to be transformed into the wine in front of you. Its filled with ripe cherries, red plums and bright cranberry with east tannins and balanced acidity. A little tip, try this one slightly chilled down for those warm summer months. – Wine Central Tasting Panel
A California Pinot Noir that boasts sophistication and complexity. It’s comparably more layered and textural than the usually fruit-driven wines that come from this area. Dried fruit notes, silky tannins and a medium to full palate.
“Lockhart was inspired by the intersection of opportunity and creativity. Inspired and in collaboration with T. Edward Wines, these expressions of Chardonnay, Cabernet & Merlot over deliver for their price point. The wines of Lockhart are a testament to our relationships with growers and vintners in the Valley and beyond.” – Lockhart
