Devil’s Staircase Central Otago Pinot Noir 2019

Deep bright ruby red. Black Doris plums, blueberries and bramble-fruit. Very fruity, rich and supple with finely balanced acid and firm tannins. It’ll keep for another 4 years but we recommend tucking into it now alongside some BBq’d meat.
Hailing from Central Otago means the Devils Staircase Pinot has gone through hell and high water to reach the bottle. The climate and sensitivity of the Pinot Noir grape bodes for tough winemaking but those grapes that persevere result in a “devilishly good” wine.
