Description
Meet the maker
Warren from the 4th generation of the Bogle family set down roots in America after serving in WWII. It wasn’t until 1968 that Warren and his Chris planted their first wine grapes over 20 acres of land. Funnily enough they grew grapes for 10 years, not to make their own wine but to provide to other wineries. Finally releasing their own wine label in 1978.
Now with over 50 years of hard work, integrity and dedication to the craft of winemaking, this family-owned and operated winery is a standout. Producing some of the finest barrel fermented wines. Taking on a small vineyard approach and hand stirring once a month to bring you unique character and high quality.
Bogel is intensely passionate about sustainability, believing that taking care of the land for the next generation is a key part of their philosophy. Honoured with the 2018 Green Medal Leader Award, they are recognised as a vineyard that demonstrates environmentally sound, socially equitable and economically viable sustainability practices. With all of their grapes Certified Green by the California Rules Sustainable winegrowing, they bring quality and care to their wine. Respecting the land and people from the very start.
Specialising in California, Chardonnay, Phantom Chardonnay and Old Vine Zinfandel.
