Description
Meet the maker
The Zonin family purchased their first property outside the Vento, from 1970 establishing and restoring the vineyard into a spectacular and precious part of the Friuli’s wine sector. With over 550 hectares in Northeastern Italy the Ca’ Bolani estate is well known for their elegant refinement in taste and strong family lineage. The Zonin family understood the importance of the Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grape variety and the area’s capability to produce incredible white wines.
As the largest single vineyard in Northeastern Italy, Ca’ Bolani Estate is similar to vineyards in Tuscany, Bordeaux and Napa Valley due to its rare “alpha climate”. With over 999 cypress trees framing the estate, this unique vineyard has a captivating view, and a captivating sip.
The temperature and breezes from the Adriatic Sea ensure the summer heat is at the perfect warmth for ripening, enhancing aromas and characteristics. With over 40 years of knowledge, their vines exist in perfect harmony with the rural environment. Using the traditional Charmat method their grapes are delicately pressed and must be kept at 0° C until the last moment when they are converted into their famous sparkling wine.
With their bounty of gold medals, their award winning wines certainly have an advantage over all. Their Prosecco being a top seller with it’s musky, cream mousse and grapey flavours.
