“Strawberries aromas abound with warm baked plums, round generous fruit on the palate with soft tannins and acid with a warm finish. Plush, ripe round and generous, red wine with soft tannins.” – Lynnette Hudson, Experienced Winemaker and Advisor
A concentrated, fruity wine with a good acidity and fresh tannins. This wine is all about balance and terroir as it captures the essence of the fruit and land excellently.

Clos du Caillou was founded in 1895 by Élie Dussaud who settled there and created an old cellar. Nowadays they practice organic winemaking and got their certificate in 2010. The terroirs are then diversified as vines are growing on a sandy soil with marl in basement, on Quartz pebbles but also on Safres.
