Thundering to our shores – don’t miss out. During production the winemakers at BelColle wanted to get across the real strength and power they believed this wine carried. So, they decided to add NuWanda to the name, and a thunderbolt to the label explaining that “the American Indian chiefs had themselves painted the Nuwanda symbol, a thunderbolt, on their chest to express their strength”. Its dark ruby and concentrated, with notes of intense jammy blackberries and raspberries. The freshness is obvious, with a long acidity that makes it a perfect match with a variety of meals from lamb rack to a more traditional Italian rabbit stew. – Wine Central Tasting Panel
