Silky smooth Marlborough Pinot. Giesen Estate has been around since the early 1980’s with their inaugural vintage in 1984. The Vineyard Selection represents wines crafted from a variety of plots around specific regions in New Zealand, as well as from grapes planted on a range of different soil types. As a result, this Marlborough Pinot is fruit forward with an intense aroma in the glass and well-balanced acidity on the palate. Typical notes of cherry and soft, ripened black fruits are obvious alongside warm, sweet spices like cinnamon and vanilla. Drink now, or in a few years with a bit more age. – 18/20, Wine Central Tasting Panel
Silky tannins and a finely structured palate frame cherry, warm spice and soft fruits. Insistent yet delicate finish.
