A mouthfilling wine that’s opulent and rich with flavour. With a creamy mouthfeel, this Chardy is textural with carefully crafted flavours of stone fruit and butterscotch with a hint of smoke. The toasty oak and slight minerality then play part in the lengthy yet slightly dry finish.
Originally a kiwifruit farmer, Morton Brown decided to move to the world of wine and ended up growing grapes in Katikati. Hi first vintage was released in 1983 then the following year the Black Label Chardonnay won Gold at the 1984 Royal Easter Show.
Morton Brown has continued to deliver with his Chardonnays having bagged a Gold and Trophy at the International Wine Challenge in London in 1995.
